My children won\u2019t get to, so I will have to tell them,\u201d the Irvine student said.<\/p>\n<p>Such is the intent of the contest and get-together, offered each spring by the<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/research-and-institutions\/holocaust-education\/rodgers-center\/index.aspx\"> Rodgers Center for Holocaust Education<\/a><br \/>\nin collaboration with<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.1939club.com\/\">The \u201c1939\u201d Club<\/a><br \/>\n, one of the world\u2019s largest and most active Holocaust survivor organizations. Hundreds of middle and high school students gathered on campus Friday, March 8, for the awards ceremony and reception celebrating this year\u2019s contest winners.<\/p>\n<p>With each passing year, the urgency of the task grows increasingly clear as the number of Holocaust survivors in attendance grows smaller. Even the theme of this year\u2019s contest \u2013 Message to the Future \u2013 underscored the passing of time.<\/p>\n<p><a
