The Student Departmental Exhibition, which will be held from April 29 through May 3, 2013 at the Guggenheim Gallery, is CALLING FOR ENTRIES.<\/p>\n

SUBMISSION:<\/p>\n

You can submit in ANY medium – and we encourage experimentation (Video, performance, installation, graphic design, sculpture, photography, collaborative projects, drawing, painting). You can submit work from a class, or you can submit independent projects and we ask that you submit your BEST work. You can submit up to 5 pieces.<\/p>\n

IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING VIDEO OR ANIMATION, Please upload your works to the You Tube site that we have created. We\u2019ve been using it since 2012 and it has worked great!<\/p>\n

When you submit you will need to login with:<\/p>\n

USERNAME: fallartshow2012@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n

PASSWORD: chapmanart123<\/p>\n

You must be an art or graphic design major OR you must be enrolled in a studio art class this semester<\/p>\n

DROP OFF: Bring your works to the Guggenheim Gallery on one of these dates:<\/p>\n

Monday, April 22, 9am – 5pm<\/p>\n

Tuesday, April 23, 9am – 5pm<\/p>\n

Wednesday, April 24, 9am – 12pm<\/p>\n

Be sure to fill out a submission form for EACH artwork you are submitting. Forms will be available at the front of the gallery at drop off dates.<\/p>\n

For video: Print out a video still, so the judges have an image that goes with your form!<\/p>\n

Our jurors made up of the art faculty and the departmental student committee will judge all artworks on April 24 (starting after 12pm) and April 25.<\/p>\n

Their votes will be counted on April 25 after 5pm, and you will be notified whether your work was selected or not on that evening. Artworks that are NOT accepted into the show will need to be picked up on Friday April 26 between 9am and 5pm.<\/p>\n
