The exhibition\u00a0assembles an\u00a0intergenerational sisterhood\u00a0of artists whose\u00a0projects re-envision our shared habitat through\u00a0inflections of\u00a0difference.<\/p>\n<p>Utilizing a symbolic\u00a0stratagem that undergoes both physical and contextual transformations,\u00a0<i>Demolition Woman<\/i>\u00a0dismantles shoddy\u00a0infrastructures of\u00a0knowledge and social order by regenerating an open system\u00a0for grafted realities and truths.\u00a0Adopting\u00a0various\u00a0epistemologies\u00a0of material process,\u00a0Kaucyila Brooke, Kelly Cline, Veronique d\u2019Entremont, Danielle Dean,\u00a0Lecia Dole-Recio, Patricia Fern\u00e1ndez, Margaret Honda, Alice K\u00f6nitz, Bessie\u00a0Kunath, Young Joon Kwak, Gina Osterloh, Gala Porras-Kim, Jen Smith, Ariane\u00a0Vielmetter, and Brenna Youngblood synthesize permutations of\u00a0language, history,\u00a0and memory\u00a0toward divergent forms and meanings.<\/p>\n<p>The artist\u00a0reception will be held on Sunday, October 20, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.,\u00a0coinciding with the release of the exhibition catalogue designed by New Byzantium and\u00a0featuring\u00a0an\u00a0<i>Ekn\u00e6s<\/i>\u00a0font\/cover design\u00a0by Nicolau Vergueiro\u00a0and\u00a0essays by Doris Chon,\u00a0Ch\u01b0\u01a1ng-\u0110\u00e0i V\u00f5, and Catherine\u00a0Wagley.\u00a0The\u00a0catalogue will\u00a0be printed in an edition of 196, each\u00a0print\u00a0corresponding\u00a0to\u00a0a\u00a01:1 scale\u00a0segment of the walls, floor, or ceiling\u00a0of\u00a0Margaret\u00a0Honda\u2019s\u00a0<i>4366 Ohio Street\u00a0Bathroom<\/i>,\u00a0an\u00a0ongoing, full-scale\u00a0reconstruction\u00a0on paper of a house in\u00a0Southern\u00a0California.<\/p>\n<p>Gallery hours are Monday\u2014Friday, 12 p.m.
