\n who teaches
\nNew Genres and Contemporary Art History & Theory<\/a>
\n, is featured in the
\n2014 Artillery Magazine<\/em><\/a>
\n (Jan\/Feb issue) for her project “Gallery Tally: The Poster Project”, which examines gender inequity in the contemporary art world.
\n
\nMicol was interviewed by arts writer Carol Cheh regarding her project, which involves more than 300 artists, and several Chapman students and alumni. The Gallery Tally project is a crowd-sourced, community activist endeavor in which Hebron has been organizing artists from around the world to tally data regarding the number of men and women represented in contemporary art galleries. Artists then make posters that offer creative visualizations of the data collected for each gallery.

\nThe project was first featured in a group exhibition titled “Margin Release Right” at West Los Angeles College in October, 2013. There will be a solo exhibition of over
\n300 posters<\/a>
\n at
\nFor Your Art in Los Angeles<\/a>
\n, opening on March 29, 2014 and running through April 25, 2014.
\n
\nHebron’s project has also been featured in the
\nHuffington Post<\/a>
\n. Chapman students and alumni featured in that project include: Patricia Burns, Theo Niarchos, Julie Russo, Hannah Karsen, Sydney Snyder and Madeline Stone.
