{"id":6522,"date":"2015-08-10T14:35:10","date_gmt":"2015-08-10T21:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/wilkinson\/2015\/08\/10\/schools-out-forest-kindergarten-sept-21\/"},"modified":"2015-08-10T14:35:10","modified_gmt":"2015-08-10T21:35:10","slug":"schools-out-forest-kindergarten-sept-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/2015\/08\/10\/schools-out-forest-kindergarten-sept-21\/","title":{"rendered":"Schools Out: Forest Kindergarten, Sept. 21"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/about-wilkinson\/wilkinson-events\/creativity-workshop.aspx\">Tuesday, September 29, 2015 #1\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0bestselling author, Cheryl Strayed<\/a>, will be visiting Chapman University to discuss her book <i>Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Coast Trail<\/i>.\u00a0 Leading up to this exciting night we will be hosting micro events surrounding the WILD concept.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, September 21, 2015, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/ces\/\">College of Educational Studies<\/a> will be hosting a Film Screening and Campfire Session of <em>Schools Out: Forest Kindergarten<\/em> in Argyros Forum 209A, 4-6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><em>Schools Out: Forest Kindergarten<\/em> is a documentary about children 4 to 7 years of age who go to kindergarten in the woods every day. This eye-opening film follows the forest kindergarten through the seasons of one school year and looks into the important question of what it is that children need at that age.
