First, we asked about their fears of a terrorist attack in general. And then we asked about being the victim of a terrorist attack:<\/p>\n<p><strong>[Terrorist Attack] How afraid are you of the following events? 41% Afraid or Very Afraid<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>[Terrorism] How afraid are you of being the victim of the following crimes? 39% Afraid or Very Afraid<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some <strong>61%<\/strong> of Americans believe, \u201c<strong>The United States is likely to experience a large scale terrorist event (such as 9\/11) in the near future<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We then asked whether fear of terrorism had caused Americans to rethink everyday activities such as travel or attending concerts and whether they are willing to undergo longer lines and additional airport screenings because of their fears.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Recent Acts of Terror have made me\u2026<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"302\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"140\"><strong>Percent of Americans<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"302\">Fear travelling abroad<\/td>\n<td width=\"140\">53%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"302\">Believe Americans are targets of terror when travelling abroad<\/td>\n<td width=\"140\">70%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"302\">Less likely to attend concerts, sporting or other public events<\/td>\n<td width=\"140\">24%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"302\">More willing to accept security screenings and longer lines at the airport<\/td>\n<td width=\"140\">78%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><em>* Percent of Americans that agree or strongly agree with the statement.
