Nonna's biscotti recipe will be served at the holiday reading.

Gather near the Christmas tree in the third-floor Malloy Performance Portico, Leatherby Libraries, and enjoy President Doti’s reading of his new holiday children’s book,
A Christmas Adventure in Little Italy
, this Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.

The books will be on sale (just $12) after the reading and all proceeds go to support the Kathleen Muth Reading Center at Chapman University, which helps local children from underserved communities to improve their reading skills. President Doti and illustrator Lisa Mertins will be delighted to sign your copy.  They make great gifts for the kids in your life, or anyone who loves a great story.  This could be your last chance to get a first-edition copy, as they’re almost sold out and will go to a second printing next year!

There will also be the Great Biscotti Face-Off, as Chapman student Brett Schmitt has challenged President Doti on his claim that his grandmother’s biscotti (tasty Italian cookies — recipe given in the book!) are the best.  Audience members can participate in the blind tasting and vote for their favorite of the two kinds of biscotti!  Other refreshments will also be served – free!
