Embark on a 5 week course, 2-weeks at Chapman and then a 3-week long journey to London this summer to gain real life experience in the design field! Professor Eric Chimenti will lead a travel course to one of the most aesthetically pleasing cities in the world to dive into a project that will first put students into a competition among different teams within the Travel Course. And then bring them together to pursue one common goal.

This program is open to Graphic Design majors and minors, as well as Creative Writing, PR & Ad, Marketing and Strategic & Corporate Communication students.

Participants will get to strategically craft messaging about autonomous vehicles and future cites for a worldwide engineering firm and be critiqued by their senior in London. In addition, students will also have the opportunity to be inspired by the city itself. London, being one of the most historic cities in Europe will be a form of design inspiration to any participant of the Travel Course. On their own time, students are encouraged to explore the food, the culture and the numerous historical sites, such as the Big Ben, the Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The Travel Course (ART 393: Sustainable Design) begins on July 8, 2017 at Chapman and departs on July 8 and returns on July 30, 2017.
