The Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Education invites all interested graduate students to participate in the 2019 Graduate Student Three Minute Thesis Competition (known internationally as 3MT).

3MT provides students from all graduate programs on both of Chapman’s campuses to publicly present their thesis or dissertation work in an innovative way, with a single visual and brief oral presentation that appeals to a broad public audience. 3MT at Chapman is part of a larger effort from universities across the world to celebrate excellence in graduate student research, scholarship, and creative works.

New this year is that there will be two “rounds” in Chapman’s 3MT competition: a preliminary round conducted via video submissions due March 15, and the “finals”, which will be presented live at the 2019 Graduate Student Excellence Dinner & Celebration on Saturday, May 4, on the Orange Campus. A $1000 first prize, $500 second prize, and $250 People’s Choice Award will be presented that evening.
