Transfers considering the Spring semester have until October 15, 2014 and our Early Action deadline for Freshman is November 1, 2014 so there’s still plenty of time, but getting an early start couldn’t hurt, right?

Updated Application

Our undergraduate team was hard at work through the Spring and Summer making updates to our application so that you’ll be able to showcase your skills, strengths and reasons for choosing Chapman. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A new question for Freshmen applicants about our four pillars:
“Chapman University was founded with a commitment to Four Pillars. Each Pillar represents a core value and they are a source of pride for the Chapman community. They are Intellectual, Physical, Social, and Spiritual. Pick the Pillar that means the most to you and tell us how it relates to your life. (200 words or fewer).”
  • New and improved “Fast Fact” questions for our Freshmen applicants:
    1. “What’s your dream study abroad location?”
    2. “What’s the top thing on your bucket list?”
    3. “Name a book you would read again?”
  •  New dynamics in the academic section that ensure you’ll know what you’re required to submit based on your major choice.

You will have to complete the application to see the rest of our improvements! We’re excited to read your applications and hope you have a great time submitting them.

Getting to Know You

Remember that there are real people in our office reading your applications. We want to know not only how you’re performing academically, but who you are as a person. What are your goals? What do you value? Are you a good “fit” for Chapman? Give yourself the time to fully develop your application. We’ll certainly be spending countless hours reading them!

When submitting your application, please note that we are in the process of transitioning to a new application review system and acknowledgment of receipt of your application may be delayed until September 2014. We have a team of people hard at work to receive both hard copy and electronic documents and attach them to your record, but be mindful of the time it takes to complete this task on our end.

Campus Visits & Interviews

We’ll also post information for high school seniors regarding interviews during our undergraduate Fall travel and the opportunity to interview with student leaders on campus, over the phone or over Skype. Make sure to check out our website here for information regarding visiting campus and our interview opportunities. Most opportunities to connect with our team when we’re in your area are available starting the end of August, so check back frequently.

We hope to see you on campus and read your application this Fall.
