What is Kanopy?

Kanopy is a video streaming service available for free through the Chapman library that provides access to videos from the Criterion Connection, Kino Lorber, Psychotherapy.net, and The Great Courses. It is currently available for all Chapman faculty, students, and staff.

Titles have full transcripts and users may create accounts to create clips and playlists, and faculty may request additional films from other providers that will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Users can watch at any time as long as they have an internet connection. Visit https://libguides.chapman.edu/kanopy and sign in with your Chapman username and password to start watching.

What is Swank?

To fulfill the need for streaming access to documentaries and feature films from major studios, the Leatherby Libraries has acquired a subscription to a new database, Swank Digital Campus.

Swank Digital Campus includes films from over 30 major studios, including Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, NBC Universal, Columbia Pictures, Lions Gate, MGM, Miramax, and more. Our subscription gives us access to the top 1,000 most-requested videos on the platform, but faculty may create accounts to browse and request additional titles following the instructions here. This subscription complements our existing subscription to Kanopy, offering the Chapman community access to a wider range of films.

To access Swank Digital Campus, please visit https://libguides.chapman.edu/swank You will be prompted to sign in with your Chapman username and password.
