1. How long have you been working at Chapman / how did you get here?

This is my 20th year coaching for Chapman, but my 17th as the head coach. I graduated from Chapman in 2001 after playing soccer for Craig Bennett and became his assistant coach. when he left three years later, I took over as the head coach.

  1. What’s your favorite story from working at Chapman?

It is hard to pick one as I have been blessed with many success stories through our athletes. One would be senior day every year because we celebrate the players for their hard work and for giving me everything they could while they were at Chapman. The day brings friends and family to celebrate each of them as they put that jersey on one last time and it shows proof that they love the team and the name they wear across their chest! Everyone’s stories are different and I always want them to leave this chapter of their lives with no regrets and as a better person. I want them to continue to win in life after they leave the field.

  1. What’s the best part about working with student-athletes at Chapman?

The best part is watching them grow in all aspects of their lives over the four years. Seeing them graduate and continue their success in the working world makes me proud! Every player will always have a place in my heart, we are a family!

  1. What is the best moment from your seven years of coaching at Chapman?

Winning the 2012 SCIAC Tournament and having to jump out of a plane!! (I promised the team I would do it if we won)

  1. Anything else you want to say to alumni?

As I watch the generations of new players come through, the game has changed but this family’s roots stay the same. Leader, character, hard work, dedication, determination and desire!
