He led the NCAA in victories in 2006, and set the Chapman record for 28 career wins, which is now ranked 4th in Chapman baseball history. He has also set the record with 272.1 career innings (now fifth) and still ranks eighth in career ERA, ninth in strikeouts at 211, and games started at 34. The right-hander’s 47 career wins and 361 strikeouts rank third all-time at Chapman, while she ranks fourth in complete games (46) and shutouts (18). Her 1.57 career ERA still ranks fifth and her 0.97 ERA during her sophomore year still ranks as the fifth-lowest single season mark. Maggie helped the Panthers advance to the NCAA tournament four times, winning back-to-back regional titles, and placing third in the nation at the 2005 DIII Championships.
Lauren Kamiyama ’09, Women’s Basketball
Lauren was able to set multiple school records during her time at Chapman, despite being undersized and going through multiple knee injuries. She helped lead the Panthers to five consecutive NCAA tournament berths, with three second round appearances as a DIII independent. Her 34-point performance in an overtime comeback helped the Panthers advance in the 2007 playoffs. Lauren was a All-West Region selection her senior year, setting the records for 424 career assists and 242 career steals, which still rank at the tops of the books. Her 86 steals as a senior broke the Chapman season record and still ranks second of all time. Her 134 assists as a sophomore also rank as the second-highest season total at Chapman. She scored 9.3 points per game and broke the Panthers all-time mark with 174 three-pointers.
