Chapman University, Argyros School of Business and Economics, and the Chapman MBA Alumni Association has partnered with Susan G. Komen in their efforts to race for a cure for breast cancer. In a networking event to bring attention to this partnership, the Argyros School hosted a “Pink Tie Guys networking event”. With over 150 in attendance, Chapman MBA students were able to meet business leaders donning “Pink Ties” from all over Orange County.  Attendees heard remarks delivered by Dean Reggie Gilyard; Scott Johnson, President of Chapman’s MBA Alumni Association; Dr. Lynn Doti; breast cancer survivor and Chapman University Professor; and Dr. Don Booth; also a cancer survivor and Chapman University Professor.

Among the business leaders in attendance were Vince Ferragamo, former quarterback in the National Football League and owner of Touchdown Real Estate; Steve Churn, CEO at OC Metro; Herald Herrmann, President of The Yard House; and Chapman University’s own President Jim Doti.

The Argyros School is proud of this new partnership with Susan G. Komen, and we are excited to bring awareness to a disease affects 1 in 8 women in 2013. The MBA Alumni Association team will participate Race For The Cure Orange County on Sunday, September 22.  For more information or to support pledge your support, please visit their web page.
