Former NFL football player Terrell Owens, Stevie Mackey of The Voice, Singer Miguelito and other celebrities will raise their glasses to a good cause at Orange Hill Restaurant on May 13 as they support Health 2 Humanity, an organization that I’ve launched with three other Chapman University students.

We have built two manufacturing facilities and are currently teaching the people in those areas how to make, market and sell their own soap. For every bar we sell domestically, we will donate a bar to a child in need and give half of our profits to further much needed education and water resources in those areas.

We decided to host this event in preparation for our trip to Kenya this summer as we promote self-sustainability by offering jobs to local people in Kenya. During the fundraising event we will be raffling off a chance to join us on our trip! In addition, we are raffling “Sugar Ray” boxing gloves, Mike Tyson boxing gloves, a cocktail party for 30, a Lake Tahoe getaway, Tiger Woods signed hat with photo, along with many, many other items.

Other celebrities who may be in attendance include Mark Wahlberg, David Hasselhoff and Jermaine Jackson.

Tickets are now being offered to the Chapman community and can be purchased at www.health2humanity.eventbrite.org. There are a limited number of seats, so register soon!

If you cannot make the event but still wish to donate, please visit our website or contact me at cefalu@health2humanity.org. To read more about our organization, check out recent articles published by the OC Register (on Page 2), Lake Tahoe News, and our last blog post.

Health 2 Humanity hopes that we can see you all at our event!
