Student Spotlight: Anika Nguyenkhoa ’25

Meet Anika Nguyenkhoa! Anika is a Business Administration major (Finance emphasis) and a minor in Data Analytics at Chapman University. So far, her Chapman experience has been a dynamic mix of academic rigor and vibrant campus life. Despite the challenges of transitioning into college life during the pandemic, Anika embraced the opportunity to connect with new people and got involved in many academic organizations, such as Delta Sigma Pi. Anika currently serves as the Fundraising Chair of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business co-ed fraternity. She has also held other leadership positions in the Finance Society and as an Orientation Leader.
Why Chapman?
Anika’s decision to come to Chapman, specifically the Argyros School, was initially based on the small and picturesque campus. Her experience as a student also revealed the value of small class sizes that allowed her to make meaningful relationships with professors. The Argyros School’s emphasis on networking, professionalism, and specialized skills in the finance sector fueled Anika’s ambition and propelled her toward her career goals in corporate finance.
Anika’s Work & Educational Experience
Anika has gained valuable business experience working in family-owned restaurants and as an office assistant for Chapman University’s Facilities Management. She also pursued her love for swimming by working as a lifeguard and swim coach. Currently, Anika is an Undergraduate Finance Associate for the Disneyland Resort, supporting the Hotels Finance team.
During her time at the Argyros School, Anika developed strong Excel skills, honed her networking abilities through events such as the Meet the Firms and Mock Interview events, and showcased her leadership qualities in both academic and extracurricular settings. Her favorite memory at Chapman is taking her first Accounting class with Professor Scott Anderson. She formed close friendships in this class and laid the foundation for her finance career.
Future Plans
Looking toward the future, Anika’s long-term goal is to work in corporate finance, leveraging her skills and passion. With her dedication and ambition, we are confident that Anika Nguyenkhoa will continue to thrive as she continues her journey at Chapman.
