Student Spotlight: Asha Ries (MBA ’21) Full-time MBA student begins her journey at the Argyros School
October 1, 2019
Asha Ries is a Full-Time MBA student in the Class of 2021. Prior to enrolling in the Argyros School she worked in talent acquisition as an HR recruiter in the engineering and pharmaceutical industries.
Asha earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Creighton University 2013. In 2015 she completed her M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Roosevelt University.
Chapman University and the Argyros School appealed to Asha because of the Full-Time MBA program’s structure and personalized education offered. Beginning the program, she is excited about many benefits available to our students, specifically guidance and assistance from the Career Services team, multiple international business opportunities to choose from and the combination of quantitative and practical course curriculum.
While completing her MBA she looks forward to connecting with her cohort, professors and surrounding MBA staff. She’s also excited to again focus on learning and developing her skillset, both in the formal classroom setting and from her peers and Argyros School connections she’ll make over the next two years. During her time in the Argyros School, Asha hopes to enhance her own education, as well as her classmates’, by recalling her prior academic and professional experiences as examples to supplement the classroom material.
Upon graduating in May 2021, she wants to take her comprehensive knowledge of business strategy and analytical problem-solving skills to the consulting world.
