Gus Tepper is Cognizant Softvision’s General Manager in Southern California where he enjoys focusing on defining, designing, and engineering client outcomes for digital products. He has 35 years of experience, centered around custom software development encompassing all areas of information technology from Digital Product Consulting, UX/CX, Development, Analytics, Quality Assurance, Automation, and DevOps/Operations.

Throughout his career, Gus has served in both advisory and consulting leadership roles for Magenic Technologies, Slalom Consulting, Hitachi Consulting, and BDO Seidman as well as taken on leadership roles as Vice President of Enterprise Technology for First American Title, and Mercury Insurance, both Fortune 500 Financial sector companies.

Gus has built a solid reputation for continuously delivering high-value, transformational projects for his clients and employers based on a solid track record of building and overseeing operations on a national and global scale. He has effectively and successfully contributed to obtaining strategic partnerships for offshore software development and helped build captive offshore operations. He has managed large-scale budgets and initiatives for enterprise-wide application development projects and resources totaling tens of millions as well as smaller initiatives in the sub-million dollar range.

As a strong leader, Gus exhibits a progressive leadership style with top-notch communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills and accomplishments. He is delighted to participate as an advisor to the Chapman University Data Analytics Accelerator program and readily makes himself available for academic interests.

Gus immigrated to the United States from Argentina and speaks both English and Spanish.  He attended California State University Long Beach where he studied Mechanical Engineering before information technology interests launched him into a long and successful software career.  He enjoys various hobbies including playing the Classical Guitar, swimming, road biking, and skiing.
