An update from the Chapman Business Career Center, as told to us by Christina Williams, Assistant Director of MBA Career and Student Services.

The Chapman Business Career Center led by Gene Rhee held a staff retreat at
Working Wardrobes
on June 21st.  We held our staff meeting/planning session in one of their conference rooms and for the last couple of hours of the day, we spent some time volunteering in their donation center.  We organized shoes and clothing, moved clothing racks into the facility, had the honor of meeting some of their devoted staffing and touring their fantastic operation.  What they do for job-seekers is incredible, they have great items and advice to offer.  One of the things we were tasked with was sorting the shoes and pulling out any of the “groovy shoes” to go in the groovy box… shoes that weren’t quite appropriate for work!  We could clearly see that they have the best interests of their clientele in mind at all times. We had a fantastic day and are eager to have the chance to work with them again in the future.  We will have our chance soon, as the MBA Student Association board members are organizing a clothing drive and some volunteer opportunities for the MBA students this coming fall!
