Closing Convocation, Wilson Field—7 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019

We’re excited to have all Chapman graduating students together on Wilson Field at the Closing Convocation ceremony at 7 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019. Although registration for this event has closed, for those attending, this ceremony will honor your achievements and celebrate the work you’ve done during your time at Chapman University.

College of Performing Arts Commencement Ceremony, Wilson Field—3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019

The Commencement Ceremony for the College of Performing Arts celebrates our dance, music, and theatre graduates and their hard work throughout their educational career. Entry gates to Wilson Field open 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Once the ceremony has concluded, we invite our graduates and their families to attend a reception in the Shady Quad located between Oliphant, Wilkinson, and Memorial Hall. College of Performing Arts faculty and staff will be present to congratulate you, take photos and mingle with your families before you head off to your celebrations with  family and friends.

Q: What time will the CoPA commencement ceremony end?

A: The ceremony will end at 4:20 p.m. We invite our graduates and their families to attend a reception of light beverages and snacks following the ceremony in the Shady Quad located between Oliphant, Wilkinson and Memorial Hall. The reception will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Q: How many people may I bring to Commencement?

A: Commencement is free and open to all guests and family of students. Guest tickets are not required for commencement ceremonies and there is no limit on how many guests you may invite. Please note that seating is first come, first served. Seating is in folding chairs on artificial turf. Once the ceremony begins, empty seats must be made available to accommodate guests without seats.

Q: What do I need to know about parking?

A: During Commencement Weekend, parking is free in all designated parking structures and lots, and curbside permits are not required on local streets. Please allow yourself ample time to park your vehicle and walk to your ceremony site. Additionally, allow yourself plenty of time to navigate out of parking areas following the ceremony when you are considering making dining reservations.
