Music Students Win Awards at Percussive Arts Society Competition
April 30, 2013
Congratulations to music major Joy Liu (’15) for her first place wins at the California Percussive Arts Society’s Competition Festival this April. Joy placed first in both the collegiate solo multiple-percussion and the collegiate solo marimba divisions.
Also congratulations to music major Christina Cheon (’14), who placed second in the collegiate solo marimba division. This is the first competitive percussion festival held in the state since 1981, and Chapman students had many excellent performances throughout the day.
