Congratulations go out to recent Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music graduate Duke Kim (B.M. Vocal Performance, ’15) who received a Special Encouragement Award of $1,500 at the Metropolitan Opera Western Regional Finals held November 1, 2015 at The Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA. Kim, who is a student of Chapman voice faculty member Patrick Goeser, was the only male singer to advance to the Finals from the Los Angeles district.
