Jake Vincent ‘94 (aka Dennis Forcari; BFA Communications, media performance emphasis; AEA) appears as Cyrus, the sociopathic leader of a violent gang of jewel thieves in the new award-winning action thriller, Pride Jewel, by Armen Dilanchian and directed by Doug Thomson. The film debuts summer 2021. Jake is a Bay Area method actor with over 20 years of experience. He has toured with San Jose Repertory and has performed in many local theaters in the Bay Area. Since graduation, Jake has had a busy career acting on stage, in film, and voiceovers, earning accolades for his work.

Orchestra is Europe’s first majority-Black, Asian and ethnically diverse orchestra, performing music by Black, Asian and ethnically diverse composers as well as classical repertoire. Yeon J. “Duke” Kim ‘15 (BM Vocal Performance) recently won top prize and $20,000 in The Met Opera’s Laffont Competition out of a field of 1,200 applicants with 600 qualifiers. The annual auditions are potential career-making opportunities for aspiring opera singers and have launched the careers of many of today’s stars. Duke has won many other prizes since his Chapman days, including first place at the Shreveport Singer of the Year Competition, first place in New Century Singers Whittier Competition, second place at Gwendolyn Roberts Young Artist Auditions, and finalist at Houston Grand Opera’s Eleanor McCollum Competition. dukekimtenor.com

Nicholas Bustamante ‘16 (BFA Screen Acting, SAG-AFTRA), appears in the recent film Women is Losers by Lissette Feliciano, a 1960s coming-of-age feminist drama which premiered in March 2021 at the SXSW Film Festival.
