Dance Senior Produces Short Film on 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing
Announced on October 29, 2021
Dance senior Mackenzie Baumert created her first short film, 9:02 in OKC, intended to honor all those affected by and increase awareness of the 1995 Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing.
“As an Oklahoman, born and raised, this event was something that shaped my culture and my upbringing,” Mackenzie said. “After moving to California for college, I began to realize how much lack of knowledge there was within my generation of this event. Hence, 9:02 in OKC came to light this past summer. This non-profit dance production was completely produced and directed by me, with features and a team of dancers from Chapman University including Daisy Mcmillen, Serena Mello, Alyssa Johnson, and recent graduate Blayke Bayer.”
