USITT and sponsors Cirque du Soleil, Meyer Sound, CM Entertainment Technology, Theatrical Concepts Inc., Silver State Wire Rope & Rigging Inc., Tait Stage Technologies, and Nicopress provide three days of Elite Training each spring at the Cirque du Soleil training center in Las Vegas. Chapman’s Garron and New are two of only 40 students from across the country who are accepted to attend this prestigious event, which is open to USITT Student and Early Career Members as well as other college-aged individuals who are not yet members. Said Professor Guy, “I am extremely proud of the fact that Chapman has had one to two students attend USITT Elite each year since its inception. The tradition continues!”

Founded in 1960, USITT promotes dialogue, research, and learning among practitioners of theatre design and technology.
