Theatre alumnus Guerrero’s play wins at Kennedy Center Festival

The musical Mad World, co-written by Chapman University alumnus Cristian Guererro (BFA Theatre Performance ’15), Chandler Patton and Steven Schmidt was recently named Outstanding New Work in the Country by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Produced by Ball State University, the show picked up additional awards for production, performance, direction (Eva Patton), lighting design (Stuart Wilson and Mickie Marie), and performance by an actor (John Banes). Ball State will be recognized for the honor during KCACTF’s awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 16, 2016.
