On Saturday, May 11, the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music’s 45th Annual Sholund Scholarship Concert* presents Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, at 4 p.m. in Musco Center for the Arts. The concert features over 165 instrumental and choral artists from The Chapman Orchestra and Chapman Choirs, including three alumni guest-soloists. Tickets are $20 general admission; $15 senior

Chapman University’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music has named Kimberly Levin ’16, Chloé Tardif ’16, and Arturo Balmaceda ’18 recipients of the prestigious 2014-15 Temianka Violin Scholarship. These talented string musicians were chosen on the basis of their exceptional artistic merit and each will participate in The Chapman Orchestra and small ensembles throughout the academic year.

The Chapman Orchestra partners with The Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra, Grammy-award winning soloists and combined choirs from Chapman University and UCI to present “Beethoven: The Finale.” Program to include the U.S. West Coast premiere of Frieze (Turnage), Piano Concerto No. 1, First Movement (Beethoven) and Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 (Beethoven).
