I believe all of us have been subject to some form of bullying, especially in our early years. For me it occurred as a result of a speech impediment. Kids would make fun of me because of this condition. But in life, we either confront these challenges and grow from the resulting experience, or we hide from them and let the problem fester.

In my particular case, I confronted the bullying about my speech impediment by appearing in a class play, “The Elves and the Shoemaker.” I didn’t confront the challenge alone. I had a teacher, mother and friend who helped and supported me along the way.

That’s the story I want to tell. But how does one tell such a story in 32 pages? That’s the topic I’ll explore in my next post.
