Check out what our Chapman PRA students are working on, for the 2012 Bateman competition.  We’ll have more in-depth details, and hopefully an interview with some members of the team, for your blog reading pleasure soon!  -JP

Our Public Relations and Advertising students are in the midst of the 2012 Bateman Case Study Competition—a national contest in which they are competing with colleges and universities across the country to design an innovative campaign to fight childhood obesity.

They have designed and are implementing an exciting campaign called PowerUP! that includes working with children to learn about nutrition, get more exercise, and learn how their health can impact their future careers. We are partnering with the American Heart Association, local firefighters, and Chapman dancers and athletes.

It would be extremely helpful if you would follow/join/like their online efforts at:

  • Follow their activities on the Facebook page
  • Find out about their upcoming activities and plans in detail on their WordPress Blog
  • And, like all social media-loving PR / Advertising folks, they have a Twitter Account set up to announce and share news on the issue of childhood obesity

Here’s a snapshot of the PR/A students at Cambridge Elementary School last Thursday, working with children to help fight obesity at a young age (click the picture to see the team’s Tweet!):

Thanks for your support!
