Every year, Dodge College puts on the Leo Freedman Foundation First Cut Screenings to premiere our top films from the previous year.

This year’s show will screen in Los Angeles, New York City, Orange, and our newest addition – Seattle – to showcase these exemplary films to industry professionals, media, alumni, prospective students, and their families.

Please join us as we premiere the following films:

Good Boy (dirs. Rachel Beltran, Nicole Myers) – A man goes on a blind date with the woman of his dreams in the hopes of having a great night. Things seem to be going perfect until the night takes an unexpected turn…

Dempsey the Diabetic Superhero (dirs. Kendall Goldberg, Greyson Horst, Rocky Pajarito, Caroline Roffe) – Meet Dempsey Foxson — a spunky, 10-year-old competitive gymnast who refuses to let her Type 1 Diabetes affect her dreams.

Night Call (dir. Amanda Renee Knox) – During a routine patrol, a Black female cop is called to a disturbance that leads to her making a life-altering decision.

Gloria Talks Funny (dir. Kendall Goldberg) – When struggling voice actress, Gloria, discovers her agent failed to tell her that her claim-to-fame cartoon is being remade, she sets her sights on reprising her role as the famous BioBoy.

A Foreman (dir. Daniel Drummond) – A factory foreman deals with an unexpected visitor.

The Quiet Room (dir. Sam Wineman) – When Michael’s attempt at suicide awakens a demon that haunts the hospital, he must stop her rampage before she takes him to the quiet room…forever.

We hope you will join us for one of these events, to see some of the amazing films made by our students last year.
