NOTE: DODGE COLLEGE NO LONGER OFFERS THIS CLASS. HOWEVER, WE HAVE LEFT THIS BLOG POST HERE SO YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THE THINGS WE HAVE OFFERED IN THE PAST.

Dodge College is proud to offer the Professional Certificate Program in Screenwriting for the 2014-2015 academic year. Not only is it a great course, but it is also another milestone for Dodge: it is our first online course!

The course is an one-year online screenwriting class that gives the students the advantage of working closely with a produced screenwriter in a real-time, collaborative workshop format. At the end of the course, students will have completed a screenplay and receive an official Certificate of Completion, signifying their extensive effort towards becoming a Professional Screenwriter.

The course will commence on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 and complete Friday, May 15, 2015. A two-hour, online session will be required every week, so students can collaborate and learn in a unique environment altogether.

The course is taught by Matt Deller, a produced screenwriter, whose feature film Manhattan Undying is set for release in 2014.  His first professional writing endeavor was for videogame developer Obsidian Entertainment. He has several other projects currently in development, including producing and writing the book adaptation of Mountain Man with UK Director Tobias Tobbell (Confine).

Applications are now open, and are due by September 1, 2014.
