On the second floor of the Leatherby Libraries, on the walls of the Doy and Dee Henley Reading Room, a Duo Exhibition is displayed from October 1 through November 10th, 2018. The exhibition features photographs from two Lawrence and Kristina Dodge College of Film and Media Arts Alumni: Frederick Bourbon ‘12 and Dani Sanchez-Lopez ‘09.

Color Scape, by Frederick Bourbon ’12, is an exhibit showcasing color palettes with emphasis on the emotive power of color used in films.

Frederick Bourbon is a Los Angeles based Digital Film Colorist, his coloring work ranges from Documentaries, Feature films to Music Videos and Shorts. Being trained as a cinematographer has enabled Freddy to balance the image from acquisition to final color for the utmost visual impact. Freddy’s Visual Art installations have been exhibited at multiple international galleries including the one of a kind Bharat Bhavan Art Center in India. He graduated from Chapman University with an MFA in Cinematography and in addition to his Color work he instructs Color grading workshops and classes for various institutions including American Film Institute and Los Angeles Film School.

River of Ashes, By Dani Sanchez-Lopez ’09, is a collection of photography which follows the imaginary flow of a life in Varanasi, from childhood to dust.

Dani Sanchez-Lopez is a cinematographer and photographer who lives and works in between Los Angeles, Spain, and, the Asian subcontinent. He portrays the spaces he inhabits through their own identity. #rituals, a video-photo exhibition captured the ceremonial nature of India and Pakistan. And now he brings us River of Ashes on Varanasi. His work as a cinematographer can be seen in www.dslcine.com He is also a film professor, and avid moviegoer.
