Dr. Innokentiy Maslennikov has been named as Chapman University’s Associate Vice President for Graduate Education. Dr. “Inno” Maslennikov, a School of Pharmacy Assistant Professor and Research Faculty, has been serving as the position’s interim since June 1, 2023.

At the School of Pharmacy, Dr. Maslennikov teaches courses in Drug Discovery and Development, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Structural Biology and advises graduate students who are conducting grant- and industry-funded research projects.

“It is very exciting to have a CUSP faculty in this role as we enter a critical stage in maturing graduate education at Chapman,” says Dean Rennolds Ostrom.

During his tenure as interim VP of for Graduate Education, he successfully merged the Office of Graduate Education with the Office of Research, and has collaborated closely with the Office of Student Affairs to initiate a pilot program addressing the increasing demand for Graduate Student housing. He has conducted a comprehensive review of Chapman’s graduate programs, working alongside program directors, deans, the provost office, and graduate students to identify strengths and areas for improvement that will guide future collaborative efforts in graduate education effective in fall 2024.
