Chapman University is proud to recognize Assistant Professor Neelou Fakourfar, Pharm.D., as the recipient of the Orange County Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OCSHP) Pharmacist of the Year Award.

In addition, rising pharmacist and student leader Rachel Nguyen has been awarded the distinguished Bob Stein Scholarship.

The OCSHP Pharmacist of the Year Award is the organization’s highest honor, with only one recipient each year. The award honors clinical expertise, and recipients are recognized for their exceptional excellence across several dimensions of pharmacy practice:

  • Outstanding commitment to the profession
  • Meaningful community service
  • Active development of future pharmacists
  • Goes above and beyond to advance patient care

Rachel Nguyen, Pharm.D. candidate 2026, was awarded the Bob Stein Scholarship, a prestigious honor that acknowledges student leadership and ongoing dedication to pharmacy. Rachel currently serves as the 2024-2025 Vice President of CUSP’s California Society of Health-System Pharmacists/American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP/ASHP-SSHP).

These two honors reflect CUSP’s continuous development of pharmacy professionals who lead with integrity, distinction, and innovation.
