ABOUT GISELLE BLONDET

Giselle Blondet was born in New York City but was raised and studied in Puerto Rico.  After working throughout the late 1980s as an actress on various television series, soap operas and mini-series, Blondet achieved worldwide fame as co-host of Univision’s international morning show, “¡Despierta America!,” starting in 1997.  In 2007, she became the host of Univision’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina,” a hit reality show she stayed with for seven years.  The entrepreneurial Blondet also has a line of popular jewelry and a designer bedding collection sold through Walmart in Puerto Rico.  She has published an autobiography; “Tengo 50…Y que?” is her second book.

ABOUT THE BOOK

The day that Giselle Blondet became 50, she vowed that she would not only confess her age, but that she would share the secrets that allowed her to assert the following: 50 is the new 30. In this book Blondet, one of the most beloved women in the Hispanic world, takes us through the highlights of her life and the lives of powerful Latinas age 50 and older who have not only achieved success but have enjoyed the luxury of finding true love in mid-life. Fun, human, inspiring and full of anecdotes, “Tengo 50…Y que?” is a shot of energy for young women, and it is also a support for women who, at this midpoint of their lives, can start anew.
