Chapman University to host OC Home Ownership Day March 28

Event is free and open to the public

The Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance at Chapman University will host the 3rd annual Home Ownership Day on its Orange campus, Saturday, March 28, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The free educational event, which features more than 30 targeted sessions for maximizing real estate, is open to the public.

Topics, such as: avoiding costly buyer mistakes, down payment assistance, VA loans, life after foreclosure, property management, load modifications, first time buyers and much more—all related to home ownership in Southern California—are presented by experts for free to attendees.

“Our mission with hosting this for the third year in a row is to educate the public on all aspects of buying or selling a home,” said Fadel Lawandy, director of Chapman’s Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance. “Bringing together experts to assist with navigating the often complex world of real estate for a free event is a great opportunity for the Southern California community. Already we have heard from past attendees about how this event helped them create a successful outcome in a home ownership situation.”

Past attendee Jacqueline Foster shared, “I attended the OC Home Fair the first year it was offered.  I have always had an interest in real estate.  My husband had just bought our condo in Orange County and we were looking for a way to move my parents closer. The classes being offered at the OC Home Fair were in line with educating homeowners and those looking to purchase in the current market place. I also attended the second OC Home Fair.  That year, we were looking to learn more about real estate investing and finding resources for our rental properties. We are looking forward to attending again this year.”
