Media Statement on Alleged Turkey Theft in Orange

ORANGE, Calif., April 18, 2016 — Chapman University is deeply concerned about the alleged break-in and theft of a turkey at Orange High School over the weekend.  We are working closely with the Orange Police Department on this matter.  The University takes any allegation of animal cruelty very seriously and finds any abuse of living creatures abhorrent. If Chapman students are found to be involved, then the University will take its own actions through the Student Conduct Code, in addition to any police proceedings.
