will throw a grand community party on April 2, 2016 to celebrate its opening – and the Center now seeks local Orange County and area performers to appear during this spectacular free Community Open House & Arts Festival. The day will feature continuous performances on four stages both inside the Center and outside on the Bette and Wylie Aitken Arts Plaza.
Artists and arts organizations of all types – music, dance, theatre, circus and family-friendly acts, etc. — interested in performing on Musco Center’s outdoor Family Stage or the Milan Panić Amphitheater may apply via the form at

The application deadline is February 12, 2016. The festival line-up will be finalized by the end of the second week of March 2016.
An arts festival for everyone at Musco Center on April 2!
Soon after its official Grand Opening on March 19, Musco Center will host its Community Open House & Arts Festival, which will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The free, day-long festival, open to all, will feature a cavalcade of performances, family activities, delicious food and non-stop fun that will demonstrate the full capabilities of this new cultural landmark, showcase the tremendous range of Chapman’s College of Performing Arts, and celebrate the diversity of the City of Orange and its surrounding communities.
“Arts education and performing artists from our neighborhood and beyond have a new home at Musco Center,” says Richard Bryant, interim executive director of the Center. “This celebration will mark a new phase in our relationship with the artistic community of Orange and the region. Chapman University has always had close ties with the greater Orange County artistic community; now we have a grand venue worthy of the talents we present.”
Performances during the April 2 festival will take place on four stages: inside the Musco Center’s stunning new Julianne Argyros Concert Hall, outside on two stages in the Bette and Wylie Aitken Arts Plaza, and on a third stage in the outdoor Milan Panić (Mi-LAN PAH-nish) Amphitheater. The showcase day of arts will peak with an evening performance by Pacific Symphony, under the baton of Maestro Carl St.Clair, in the Orchestra Hall, featuring Beethoven’s majestic Fifth Symphony and Grieg’s Piano Concerto.
