Dr. Mehvar was selected by his peers in the AACP signifying their recognition of him as a gifted teacher, scholar and academic leader. He served many years as a professor at multiple institutions and was a founding faculty member at CUSP. The award will be presented at the AACP Pharmacy Education 2016 meeting at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, CA, at 8 a.m., on Sunday, July 24.
According to the AACP website: The AACP Distinguished Teaching Scholar Award is designed to recognize excellence of our academic pharmacy faculty engaged in and/or supporting scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning. AACP Distinguished Teaching Scholars will serve as models for advancing the profession of pharmacy through education by enhancing student learning and the knowledge base of teaching and learning in professional and/or graduate pharmacy education.
