Orange, Calif. – This Thursday, October 13, Chapman University will hold an international conference on “Iran: Rising Power in the Middle East.”  The conference will feature experts on Iran and the Iranian nuclear deal from around the globe.

“While the Iran nuclear deal – or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) —  is now over a year old, I believe this is a timely conversation to have,” says James Coyle, Ph.D., conference organizer and director of Chapman’s Center for Global Education, which is presenting the event.   “In the U.S. presidential elections, one candidate supports the nuclear deal and the other opposes it.  In Iran, the chief architect of the deal is facing his own re-election in the spring, so the nuclear deal remains a hot topic in both countries.”

Media welcome to attend and cover.
