The semester is in full swing at Chapman but as summer approaches it’s important to keep dorm residence move out in mind. During move out season you may find donation bins around the dorm areas. This year Chapman along with the Sustainability Department are implementing new guidelines and categories for donations and recycling. Proper recycling has always been a top priority across campus and now Chapman wants to ensure that the dorm community is doing their part. On Monday, September 9th, the Office of Sustainability and Civic Engagement teamed up to table in the Piazza for Meatless Monday! Students were able to sign a digital pledge to commit to not eating meat on Mondays, and in exchange were offered reusable metal straws. On Thursday, October 10th, the Office of Sustainability joined Civic Engagement and Second Harvest Food Bank for Chapman’s annual Hunger Banquet in the Fish Interfaith Center. Students participated in an interactive meal simulation wherein they randomly chose a card designating their social class for the night, which determined where they would sit and what meal
