Lee Braithwaite T&G Member Spotlight
April 3, 2022

Lee with fellow T&G member Lynda Cook
Meet Lee Braithwaite, Town & Gown’s, longest-living member! At 102 years young, Lee has always been motivated to join organizations with good purposes. She loves people and could be called a true joiner with a servant’s heart. Whether it is ringing the bell for Salvation Army donations during the holidays, acting as a docent for the Tustin Area Historical Society’s Home and Garden Tour, or volunteering at Tustin’s annual Broadway in the Park, Lee has done it all! She has also given many years of service in both her Tustin PEO group and the Homeowners Board at Park Tustin, where she lives.
Lee met her late husband Bill in Study Hall at Monrovia High School, when she was a cheerleader in her sophomore year and he was a senior. They were both smitten with each other and married after he completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Cal Tech. Bill’s career as an aerospace engineer allowed them to travel the world, and they loved playing golf together in tournaments, something she misses dearly. She raised three boys and later managed retail sales positions at Bullocks and Macy’s, was a consistent sales leader, and even did some modeling for the stores.
Lee was introduced to Town & Gown in 2016 – and, of course, immediately asked “how do I join?” She especially loves attending Lunch at the Forum to hear the interesting topics and meet new people. Please say hello to Lee the next time you see her at a luncheon!
