Isn’t it exciting that Town & Gown is able offer larger scholarships this year? Thanks to the growth of the endowment and the generosity of T&G members – your generosity – , the Town & Gown Endowed Scholarship is providing an incredible foundation for the future of Chapman students.

What you may not know is Town & Gown’s ability to give an additional $2,000 to scholarship recipients this year has been enhanced through legacy gifts. In the last five years, the endowed scholarship was bolstered by more than half a million dollars received from fulfilled legacy gifts. This growth is thanks to Town & Gown Legacy Circle members and dear friends like the late Betty Bartley, Carol and Caroll Howansky, Shirley Lapier, Bill and Merry Berkowitz and other generous folks who included Town & Gown in their estate plans. While they are no longer with us, their philanthropic spirits live on through the students who benefit from their visionary planning.
