Take a bow, Jami!

There’s a star among us! Our resident thespian and
gift recorder
extraordinaire
Jami McCoy
appeared as Ophelia in
Slings and Arrows – Shakespeare’s Hamlet Reimagined
. She performed as part of The Monkey Wrench Collective, an acting troupe. The performance led audience members throughout the property of Casa Romantica in San Clemente.
A group of UA team members attended one of Jami’s performances.
Carol Bonner
, assistant vice president, operations and information systems, hosted the group at her home in San Clemente for some after-show wine and cheese to celebrate Jami’s performance. Carol was impressed with Jami’s talent: “She’s quite an actor…Shakespeare isn’t easy and Ophelia is emotionally (and physically) challenging.”

Jami relished the opportunity to appear in
Slings and Arrows – Shakespeare’s Hamlet Reimagined,
saying:
“It felt amazing to dive back into an awesome theatrical project after a hiatus since 2011. Working on the gorgeous grounds of Casa Romantica with a group of amazing artists was an experience I’ll never forget! A huge thank you to all the CU folks who came out and supported!”

“This is a Hamlet that belongs to the now, both in terms of its creation for this site, as well as forcing the audience to interact with it subjectively. It’s a piece of living, breathing art—and one hell of a good time.” – Joel Beers, OC Weekly
