Kudos and Awards – June 2015

Natalie could hardly contain her excitement at meeting author Jerry Panas
Kudos to
Natalie Deshotels
,
assistant director of the Chapman Fund
, for attending the Seize the Opportunity seminar in Costa Mesa last month. The seminar was hosted by the Institute for Charitable Giving and was described as offering a “fail-proof system for cultivating and soliciting the largest major gift possible to the greatest joy of the donor.” Here’s what Natalie had to say about the event:
“The conference was put on by my hero, Jerry Panas. He wrote the famous and amazing fundraising book,
ASKING
. This book is like a development Bible. (Panas) is world renowned and can negotiate, pull on heart strings, and raise money better than I’ve ever seen.”

Kudos to members of the
Strategic Engagement and Development
team for partying the night away at the celebration of Sharon and John Deacon’s 25th wedding anniversary. John and Sharon are PLUMS (parents of alumni) and have continued to remain very active in the Chapman Family and in our department through their roles as chairs on the Parents Ambassador Council Executive Committee (also known as XPAC). Thank you for helping celebrate a big milestone in the lives of some of our dedicated Chapman Family members!
