Wondering what this means for you?  Watch this under-2-minute video.

Dear Chapman Instructors and Staff,

Do you add files from your Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) to modules in Canvas?  Do you link or embed files from your Google Drive on pages in Canvas?  Do you use Collaborations in Canvas?  Then this update is for you!

There is a new 1.3 Google integration in Canvas.

The Google integration we have had since adopting Canvas is being retired and replaced with the new 1.3 integration after Spring 2024.  When this happens, any links, embedded files, Collaborations, or Google Drive cloud assignments created in Canvas using the old Google integration will break.

Please use 1.3 when adding files from your Google Drive to modules and pages and/or creating Collaborations in Canvas.
