Do you live within driving distance to campus? Did you graduate within the last ten years? Are you interested in speaking to current students?  If you answered yes to these questions, you are the perfect candidate for Chapman Chats!

Chapman Chats: Student and Alumni Perspectives
is back for its second year. Launched last year, this program brings young alumni and current students together in an informal setting to create connections and have meaningful conversations. Alumni facilitators share their wisdom on how to break into an industry and secure a job and offer insight about what made their Chapman experience special. Students have the opportunity to ask for advice from alumni who were recently in their shoes. Discussions last anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple of hours.

Here’s what participants from last year’s Chapman Chats had to say:

“The concept of Chapman Chats is brilliant. I was able to connect with the students on a deep level thanks to the comfortable and fun environment. With no faculty or parents involved, I could tell that the students felt relaxed and knew they could ask any questions they had. Having a smaller group allowed for personal attention that I could tell the students really enjoyed. I’m still in touch with a few of the students 8 months later. Looking forward to the next one!”

“Chapman Chats gave me the opportunity to talk to recent alumni. They gave me insight on what I should be doing before I graduate and some of the best ways to go about doing them. Talking to them gave me a fresh look on all of this because they shared their own experiences at Chapman, rather than an advisor giving recommendations based on the curriculum.”
