Chappy Hour at Coors Field
August 16, 2016
For our spring Chappy Hour in Denver, we met at Jackson’s – a sports bar across the street from Coors Field. Inspired by our surroundings, we decided that our next Chappy Hour should be held at a Rockies game! So on Friday, July 22, a group of Chapman alumni in Denver got together to watch the Rockies takes on the Atlanta Braves.
Coors Field has a fantastic new area called “The Rooftop” which is a rooftop bar at the field. Each ticket is general admission and comes with a concession credit for food or drink. This was the perfect way for us to do Chappy Hour because anyone interested in attending the game could buy a ticket without worry of running out of seats in a particular section.
We met outside of the stadium before going in and found a place to stand at The Rooftop so other Panthers could come and join us throughout the game. We ate, drank, and cheered on the Rockies as they beat the Braves! We all had so much fun at the game that we continued the party and hung out the rest of the night!
Hosting Chappy Hour at the Rockies game was an amazing event! We hope to do another sporting event this year to cheer on the Broncos, Nuggets, or Avalanche!
Chapman would love to expand the Chappy Hour program to more regions across the country. To learn more about attending or setting up a Chappy Hour in your area email alumni@chapman.edu.
