The Argyros School Wins Top 25 Race Team Award and More at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Ceremony

The Argyros School of Business and Economics MBA Alumni Association partnered with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this summer, and raised about $8,000 and recruited 110 participants.
In appreciation for their efforts, the Argyros School was chosen among more than 600 participating teams to be honored with three highly distinguished awards: the 2013 Rookie Team of the Year Award; 2013 Top 25 Race Team Award and 2013 third place team – non-profit group.
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Executive Director Lisa Wolter presented the awards to MBA Alumni Association President Scott Johnson and current student and team leader Topaz Slater at an awards banquet on November 19.
Susan G. Komen has funded more than $750 million in breast cancer research and $1.5 billion in community outreach programs over the past 30 years. The organization provides funding to help low-income and uninsured women get screened and receive treatment, and advocates for cancer research on a global level.
