Celebrate National Philanthropy Month with the Argyros School
November 16, 2015
The Argyros School of Business and Economics is truly grateful for having exceptional students, faculty and staff that devote their time, effort and commitment in making the Argyros School the best that it can be not only in the state of California but also the country. Along with the exceptional students, faculty and staff we are also grateful to our amazing and devoted donors. Without financial support, the current and future success of this school wouldn’t come to fruition.
November is National Philanthropy Month. National Philanthropy Month is a celebration of philanthropy. The importance of philanthropy comes down to choosing to invest in something beneficial for the future. Giving, volunteering and charitable engagements highlight the accomplishments of philanthropy no matter how large or small a gift might be. Whether it’s being a mentor, volunteering one’s time, or building a place where everyone can enjoy, these are all significant examples in making positive progress in the environment, community and lives of individuals. Everyone involved in the philanthropic process makes our school and our community better.
As the business world rapidly changes, the Argyros School continues to innovate our programs to be sure we are preparing our graduates for both the current and future business environments.
Financial donations would be the best and most helpful way for us to achieve this. Financial donations not only help the school with providing scholarships to our hardworking students, it also helps with career conferences and trips, faculty research, keeping up with modern technology (Bloomberg terminals) and establishing new programs.
The Argyros School of Business and Economics is in a great time of innovation and need. The creation of the Real Estate program is a new up and coming program for the school. The initiatives for the Real Estate program would be supporting funding for co-curricular activities such as the ARGUS training along with hosting 6-8 real estate professionals per year.
Also exciting to the Argyros School is the creation of the Data Analytics lab/program. The Data Analytics lab/program is an innovative space to primarily deliver advanced quantitative and technology driven education focusing on the management and analysis of data (analytics) in business, mathematics, computer science and the sciences. Donations for both programs came from outstanding donors that wanted to give a brighter future to Argyros School students.
The Argyros School of Business and Economics is truly grateful for all that our students, faculty, staff and donors do every day. Once again, November is National Philanthropy Month. Giving, volunteering or mentoring are all forms of philanthropy. No matter what you decide to do in terms of philanthropy, the Argyros School will be grateful for your commitment.
